Volunteering in the Wake of Hurricane Katrina
In November 2005, two WSSI employees, Dan Fisk and Larry Brissing, volunteered their time (with WSSI staff working extra to cover their responsibilities at the office) with the Louisiana Humane Society to assist with the rescuing and caring of animals, repairing of damaged shelters, and the building of new shelters to house the thousands of misplaced animals as the result of Hurricane Katrina.  Full Article

 Responsible Land Disturber (RLD) Recertification
Do you propose to engage in land-disturbing activities? If so, Virginia’s Erosion and Sediment Control Law requires you to provide the name of an individual holding a valid Responsible Land Disturber “Certificate of Competence” prior to engaging in land disturbing activities, and soon these certifications will start expiring.  Full Article
