In three weeks, Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. will present:                  Dealing with the New World of Wetland and Stream Permitting Last September, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) sent a letter notifying the development community that the way regulators will look at avoidance and minimization of impacts was going to change drastically in Northern Virginia. (Refer to WSSI's October, 2004 Newsletter for detailed information.) On Thursday, April 7, 2005 WSSI will host a seminar for all interested in how to deal with the new world of wetland and water resource permitting. Specific topics will include: A step-by-step process for the land development industry on how to deal with wetlands and streams, as well as related issues such as historic resources and endangered and threatened species; How to develop a permittable land plan; Tips for keeping site civil plans in compliance; and How to keep the project in compliance with DEQ and Corps regulations after permit issuance.
